With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of our dear colleague and friend, Margo — a warrior, a volunteer, and a true professional in every sense.

Margo was more than a medic. She embodied strength, courage, and compassion even in the darkest moments of the war in Ukraine. Her dedication to saving lives and standing with those who needed help most is a legacy that will never be forgotten.

It was a profound honour to work alongside her, and to witness her selflessness firsthand. She was killed the day before I arrived in Sloviansk — a stark reminder of the risks borne daily by those who choose to serve on the front lines.

This is an immeasurable loss for our team, for the humanitarian community, and for everyone whose life she touched. We will carry her memory forward, and we will not forget the sacrifice she made.

Rest easy, Margo.Your light lives on in all of us.
